    National Center for PTSD

The National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (NCPTSD) is part of the VA's Mental Health Services within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and is dedicated to research and education on trauma and PTSD. The Center was created in 1989.

The mission of NCPTSD is to advance the clinical care and social welfare of America's Veterans and others who have experienced trauma, or who suffer from PTSD, through research, education, and training in the science, diagnosis, and treatment of PTSD and stress-related disorders. They work to make sure that the latest research findings help those exposed to trauma.
